Today we staged our first ever Global Learning Conference for our local feeder primary schools.

The aim of the day was to examine the world we live in now through practical workshop activities and start to plan what we need to do to be effective global citizens of the future.

A team of Year 7 ‘Global Leaders’ ran the day and looked after over 80 Year 5 and Year 6 pupils as they challenged themselves  to investigate a range of important global topics – such as how to purify dirty water.

Other activities included in the day ranged from examining human migration, the sustainability of food supplies, human rights and Fairtrade.

Our visitors concluded the day by presenting their thoughts and hopes for the future to Mr Cunningham, our headteacher.

Together we aim to secure a safe, happy and harmonious school so that we can all become effective and active global citizens.
