SCHOOL RESULTS
The Lakes School has an excellent reputation for helping all of our students achieve the skills and qualifications they need to move in to their first choice University, apprenticeship or employment with training and we work hard to provide a caring environment within which students of all abilities can flourish. Young people can face a wide variety of barriers that might prevent them from making good progress at school and we take pride in helping our students to overcome those barriers.
If you would like to learn more about how we measure your child’s achievement then please contact Ms Rainey or Mr Jeremy to arrange a meeting.
Progress
One of the most important ways that we measure how successful we are as a school is in the percentage of students who make Expected Progress or Better than Expected Progress, particularly in English and Maths, but also across the full range of subjects studied.
Our ambitious aim is for 100% of our students to make expected progress or better. The national average is typically around 70% for English and Maths.
Attainment
Schools are also measured on their attainment figures such as the percentage of students who achieve 5 GCSEs at A*-C including English and Maths or the percentage of students who achieve 3 A-Levels at grades AAB or higher.
Attainment figures can fluctuate from one year to the next due to differences in the ability profile of each year group.
